The World is a Carousel of Color

I went to Disneyland with my roommates on Sunday for one of their birthdays and of course we had to see World of Color. It’s new and it’s been anticipated for quite some time and we heard it was amazing. Well, let me tell you, we weren’t disappointed. The show was incredible. We ended up watching it from the back because our tickets were for the 10:15 show, but the 9:00 show was going on while we were in California Adventure so we decided to stand where we could and watch. The water projection comes from the back so we could pretty much saw everything. The music is awesome and I totally want to find it on iTunes somewhere. I noticed half way through the show that it’s more about the Disney heroines rather than the villains like in Fantasmic. The show is very light and fluffy. It covers The Little Mermaid, Toy Story, Pirates of the Caribbean, Pocahontas, Aladdin etc.

From a technical standpoint, the show is incredible! There are colored LED lights surrounding each water jet, which makes the water look colorful and the jets move! There are also flame projectors as well. Ugh, so amazing! It’s almost indescribable how awesome it is. I pretty much had goosebumps the entire show. The one bad thing I will say is that everything in the show seems so random. There’s no story line happening like in Fantasmic. They just show various clips from various movies. The show is pretty much an excuse to show all the Disney movies on water, but if you put that aside, it’s great!

Here’s the entire show, but I recommend seeing it in person. No video will ever do it justice:
