Weekend Movie - Meet Me in St. Louis

Jesus day is 4 days away and tis the season for holiday movies. Thus far, I have watched Home Alone and last night I watched Meet Me in St. Louis, which is the best holiday movie ever. The movie begins in summer and ends in the spring of the following year so they hit Halloween and Christmas. Sigh, Judy Garland pulls on my heart strings a little. She is the only one in the world who is allowed to sing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Anyone else just needs to never even attempt to sing the song.

There are so many things in the movie I wish our generation would do like when we have parties, instead of snorting coke in the back, I wish we would sing and dance instead. My how the times have changed. So, if you’re looking for a good holiday movie, curl up with some coco and a loved one and watch Meet Me in St. Louis. You will not be disappointed. Happy short week everyone!

Let it Snow

It’s beginning to feel more and more like winter and who would complain about that? I love the heat, don’t get me wrong, but after a while you want some cold. I will more than likely be sick of the cold in 2 days, but it’s here and I’m happy about it. The temperature gage in my car this morning said 46. Now that’s winter. Dew covered my car and I had to turn the heater on full blast. I even had to stop for some hot coco to keep me going. Sigh. Soon it will be time to buy a Christmas tree and wrap some presents. Yes, I’m Jewish so the Menorah will be lit too. 8 days of presents baby!!!

Not only is the weather getting colder, but the ice skating rinks are opening up everywhere in Los Angeles. After tonight, there will be 2 ice skating rinks within blocks of each other. There is one at Pershing Square across the street from the Biltmore Hotel and after tonight there will be one at L.A. LIVE. The L.A. LIVE Christmas tree will be lit and it will be official. The season of cold and presents is here. Oh and family. I was never one to enjoy this holiday because part of my family had a falling out, but ever since last year I have been excited. It means time for vacation and Disneyland and such. Why would anyone complain? I have done most of my Christmas shopping already. I was so excited I started early. I even hand made an advent calendar. It was very exciting. This is going to be a good season.

Let’s kick this off right with some awesome holiday movies.
