I Wanna Be A Rockette
I'm kind of excited! Tonight my company has invited everyone to see The Rockettes at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. LIVE for our Christmas party. The last few years, the holiday party has been some weird band I don't care much about, but this year I totally care about The Rockettes. I've seen their Christmas show before in New York and it was kind of hokey, but the fact that I was in New York at Radio City Music Hall was all that mattered to me. The show tonight will more than likely be the same show I saw in New York a few years ago, but it will get us all into the spirit of the holidays. Hanukkah ended last night and now it's time to look forward to Christmas and New Years! This is probably the coolest part of the show:

Jesus Day Eve

It is Jesus Day Eve and all through the house everyone was cooking and cleaning to get ready for Jesus Day Eve food. Present wrapping is semi complete and the tree needs to be lit. But most of all it is vacation time. Thank you Jesus.
I know, I know. That was lame, but I did just wake up. So what I am trying to say is Merry Christmas. I have time off of work until January 4, 2010, but I will be posting again next week. I will be traveling for a few days, but when I return, I will be sure to post all about my adventures. Have a good holiday y'all!

Random Jesus Activity Part 2
So last night it was time to bust out the ginger bread house making kit. Everything was in perfect little packages. The walls and roof and what not were in one package, the candy was all in individual packages, and the frosting was in a giant tube. It was my OCD dream come true in ginger bread house form. There was even a little tray to help the retarded put it together. The ginger bread pieces had outlines on them so you would know where the doors and windows were supposed to be. Now that I think about it, I’m kind of offended that they would think I’m that retarded. Anyway, it was pretty fun and really hard not to follow the picture on the damn box. I would try not to, but then I would do some variation of what was on the box. Like the box had red candies in one spot and I used the same candies, but different colors. I mean they outline it for you so you can’t help but be a sheep and follow along. So here is the outcome of my ginger bread making kit from Target. Both were fun. Which do you like better?

Random Jesus Activity Part 1
As we count down to Jesus Day we begin to build random ass things that have nothing to do with Jesus. We embark on cookie making and watch ridiculous movies. The latest random ass thing I have encountered for the first time is ginger bread house making. This is going to be a 2 part-er. Last night I made a ginger bread house without a kit from the store. It was all random ingredients put together to make a house. The frame was cardboard taped together in the shape of a house and then graham crackers were frosted on. The decorations consisted of animal crackers, gum drops, jelly beans, more frosting, etc. It came out pretty good considering it was all made up.

Some people even go insane and make their desks into ginger bread houses. These kinds of people are the one’s we all need to watch out for.

Tomorrow I will discuss my experience with the ginger bread house store bought kit. To be continued…..

Let it Snow
It’s beginning to feel more and more like winter and who would complain about that? I love the heat, don’t get me wrong, but after a while you want some cold. I will more than likely be sick of the cold in 2 days, but it’s here and I’m happy about it. The temperature gage in my car this morning said 46. Now that’s winter. Dew covered my car and I had to turn the heater on full blast. I even had to stop for some hot coco to keep me going. Sigh. Soon it will be time to buy a Christmas tree and wrap some presents. Yes, I’m Jewish so the Menorah will be lit too. 8 days of presents baby!!!
Not only is the weather getting colder, but the ice skating rinks are opening up everywhere in Los Angeles. After tonight, there will be 2 ice skating rinks within blocks of each other. There is one at Pershing Square across the street from the Biltmore Hotel and after tonight there will be one at L.A. LIVE. The L.A. LIVE Christmas tree will be lit and it will be official. The season of cold and presents is here. Oh and family. I was never one to enjoy this holiday because part of my family had a falling out, but ever since last year I have been excited. It means time for vacation and Disneyland and such. Why would anyone complain? I have done most of my Christmas shopping already. I was so excited I started early. I even hand made an advent calendar. It was very exciting. This is going to be a good season.
Let’s kick this off right with some awesome holiday movies.
