Magic

Ok, I'm kind of over the Bin Laden thing now. I mean I know it's important and people are happy about it, but that's the ONLY thing in the news. I guess it's better than something petty about a celebrity, but it's a little exhausted. All NPR and KROQ talked about this morning was Bin Laden. All BBC.com and LATimes.com had on their pages yesterday was the death of Bin Laden. Again, it's much better than something silly, but I'm a little tired of it. Maybe my attention span sucks. Either way, I'm going to attempt to get our minds off of it for a few minutes.

I've been having these crazy urges lately. I want to sit down and watch all the Back To The Future movies, E.T., and Jaws. I want to go on the tram ride at Universal Studios. I want to take a tour of the Warner Brothers lot and the Paramount Lot. I've been on both lots before, but for some reason I've been getting these intense urges to hang out on a studio lot. I'm not sure where this is all coming from, but the feelings just keep getting stronger and stronger. A bit ago, I found a Pixar documentary on NetFlix. It wasn't on instant so I couldn't watch it, but a few weeks ago it was instant and I watched it like 3 times. I'm getting an urge to start doing something great. Making movie magic or something. Because of my intense urge, I thought I would share a clip that I'm sure everyone has seen, but it's probably my favorite and I feel like it's kind of important. Especially now. Makes me want to get out and do something.

Florida Shore

Season 2 of the Jersey Shore starts again tonight and it leaves me incredibly confused. The number one reason: I thought this show was going to be similar to the Real World where they would switch out cast members each season, but that's not the case. They are bringing the exact same cast back, but this time they're putting them in Florida instead of Jersey. And that brings me my second point of confusion: If the cast will now be in Florida, why is the show still called Jersey Shore? It's just weird to me. Did you know these kids get paid $30,000 per episode to be on this damn show? I wanna cause drama on a show and make a yearly salary in one hour. That's not fair.

KROQ had the cast on the radio this morning and they were talking about how they can't go anywhere without people hounding them. One of the guys, the one that calls himself "The Situation" said they have to close down malls when they want to go shopping. That's gross. He never did anything in his life, but have a 6 pack and sleep with chicks and now he's famous. That kind of makes him sound like a porn star... Either way, shows like this make me so sad. I worked hard to get to where I am and then Joe Schmo comes in and steps all over me just by being on a reality TV show.

I will admit I watched the first couple episodes of the show when it first started because people were going ape shit over it and I needed to know what was going on. The show never appealed to me though. Watching a bunch of spoiled, conceited kids try to get some ass is not interesting to me at all. I would rather watch a Twilight movie.

Pasties?

This is what I get for listening to KROQ in the morning. Kevin and Bean always have some sort of silly story on their show. Sometimes I change it and sometimes I listen to see what people are up to now. This morning, they were interviewing a girl who created a pet rear end cover up pasty type deal. She said it started as a joke and now it’s a big hit and people are buying them. She said it all started when her roommates cat kept putting her butt in her face so she decided to create a cover up thing she calls “Rear Gear.” Kind of silly. I had a hard time picturing what this thing looked like so I decided to go to ETSY.com, which is where she is selling her product. Makes me a tiny bit sad because Etsy has some really cute stuff by some really artsy people. Does this qualify as art? Will you buy one for your pet? My only problem is that you would have to watch your pet constantly to make sure they don't ruin it when on a walk or in the litter box.
