We were all excited to see Planet 51 because it looked super cute. An animated movie about aliens, I mean who wouldn't love that. To our disappointment, we were the only one's in the theatre and we soon found out why. The movie was funny is certain spots, but it had no original content. The writers basically took everything from other movies and placed it in this movie to create a story about humans being considered aliens. Part of me wonders why it didn't do better within the adult world. The kids wouldn't have understood anything in the movie because it was completely geared towards adults. It was almost like Shrek, but not as good. Shrek was completely geared towards the older audiences and not the kids at all. So like I said, the movie was funny in some spots, inappropriate in others, and a tiny bit entertaining.Before the movie, my dad told me that the movie was made by the same people who made Paranormal Activity. Um, I have a feeling he was mistaken. This movie was soft and fury. There's no way the same people created both. I am not sure if i recommend this movie or not. Maybe wait to rent it because after Friday, we know it won't be in theatres too much longer. Has anyone else seen it?
