America's Next Top Anorexic

I like watching America's Next Top Model as much as the next person. Sometimes I watch it and get super into it and sometimes I'm not that into it and I could care less. Lately, there have been Top Model marathons and I have been planting myself in front of the TV. The judges crack me up sometimes. They do some ridiculous stuff during their elimination sessions. I haven't always been the biggest fan of Tyra Banks and this doesn't help. There's a commercial for the new season that shows a 6 foot tall girl who weighs 100 pounds. Her waist is so small one of the judges can put his hands around her and touch finger tips. That is not ok. And of course, Tyra goes ape shit over this girl and loves her so much. Way to be an advocate for curvy women, Tyra. She claims that she had no control over the commercial, which I think is a load of crap. You're the producer of the show. Don't tell me you had no control over what was going to be shown in that commercial. It makes me kind of sick. Especially because Tyra has this big thing about women with meat on their bones. Maybe she only cared about curvy women when she was photographed on the beach weighing 60 pounds over her "desired" weight. Now that she's back at a "normal" weight, she likes the skinny girls again.

Oy vey. I was never the biggest fan of Tyra Banks and after her most recent stunt; I don’t think that will ever change. In October of 2008, my friends and I decided to brave the movie Quarantine on opening night. Yeah, we knew it was a dumb idea, but we didn’t realize that until it was too late. We are all forever scared of rabies, especially in people. Well, the other day on the Tyra Banks show, which I thought was canceled long ago, she pretended to have rabies. She talks about how she was jogging and a dog bit her on the leg. She went to the hospital and told them the dog was foaming and it turned out the dog had rabies and she needed to get a shot, etc. She asks for some water and then she begins foaming at the mouth and suddenly turns into a dog… Now, why she thought turning into a dog was something that happens when humans have rabies is beyond me, but the fact that she pretended to have rabies in the first place, is just not ok with me. Not only because of my fears from Quarantine, but because her audience members were seriously worried about her. The looks on their faces is of concern. Why was her show never canceled?
