And then we come to Charlie St Cloud. The movie was super sad just like everyone knew it would be and that's why it didn't so so well at the box office, but I do have to say that Zac Efron is going places. That kid has some major talent and he's not bad to look at either. He wears clothes really well and his eyes are VERY blue. So he's definitely not one of those actors who just happens to be good looking and that's it. He's good looking and he has talent. I'm trying to put aside my bias towards High School Musical here. This was the first straight movie I've seen him in and he's got the goods for sure. I really hope he goes far. I really hope that he continues to get these really good roles even if they happen to be in super sad movies. I would watch the movie just for him. He can cry on cue and he's just good. I definitely think he needs to be in more movies like this.

Manic Monday
This past week I watched a lot of movies that I never got to see in the theatres such as 127 Hours, Life As We Know It, and Charlie St Cloud. 127 Hours was awful! It was way too artsy and just blah. I mean there's not much you can do when making a movie about someone chopping their arm off, but the artsy was a little too much for me. Life As We Know It was cute, but way too long. I enjoyed it though and Katherine Heigl wasn't too annoying.
And then we come to Charlie St Cloud. Mmhmm
Sigh. He’s so dreamy. Sigh.
Okay I know some if not most of you are rolling your eyes at me right now. He’s 12, right? Well let me tell you, he has a nice body for a 12 year old. Star of one of the best Disney’s movies ever made, Zac Efron is the man/boy.
High School Musical was an incredibly successful set of movies. Yes, I was there on opening night of the third and final installment. I clapped with all the 12 year olds when he came on screen. I sighed when he smiled. Yes, I did it all. Embarrassed the crap out of my friends, but it was soooo worth it.
Okay I am done drooling and now on to the more serious stuff about Zac Efron. This kid is going to go far. He was able to branch out of the Disney light and move on to movies like Hairspray and 17 Again. He proved that he had more talent than Disney presents. He didn’t accept the role in the upcoming movie Footloose because he wanted to break out of singing and dancing and move onto more serious roles. If he keeps that up, he can go far, I think. I mean look at where Vanessa Hudgens is. She just finished doing the awesome movie, Bandslam. She probably won’t be going places. The only reason anyone semi remembers her is because nude photos keep surfacing. Ashley Tisdale is in the same boat. She has a new album out, which is pretty good, but she probably won’t do much after that. She performed at the Americana a few weeks ago and on America’s Got Talent, but otherwise, she’s probably done making movies.Either way, High School Musical will live on in our hearts forever because I will play the DVD over and over until my friends kill me. Happy holiday weekend everyone!
