Jail House Rock

Here we go again. Lindsay Lohan is back in jail. This time might actually stick, but we shall see. I heard on the radio that she thinks she’s being pin pointed because she’s a celebrity. That she keeps being put in jail to become a role model. Oh sweetheart. If you weren’t a celebrity, you would still be in jail for all the shit you’ve done. Being a celebrity is helping you, not hurting you and that role model nonsense flew out the window a long time ago.

So Lindsay is scheduled to collect trash, empty trash bins, mop floors, and clean windows at the LA County Department of Coroner’s facility. That’s a little intense. They claim she will definitely be seeing some dead bodies. So, again I hope this one sticks. Maybe seeing those bodies will get her to put her shit in gear. I mean something has to right? She has yet to have any real jail time and now they give her jail time in a morgue. Bring it on!

Manic Monday

I was channel surfing this past weekend and I came across the movie Freaky Friday on ABC Family. Not the original with Jodie Foster, but the latest remake with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis. I haven't seen the movie in a while so I decided to watch it and I forgot how good that movie is. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan do a really good job. And then it made me sad to see once again how much potential Lindsay Lohan had. She had so much going for her and now she's failed. Miserably. Yes, she's out of jail and in rehab now, but will things ever be the same for her? Britney Spears went from crazy to not too crazy and no one ever looks at her the same. But then again I think about Drew Barrymore and she's just amazing. So it can be done, but which category will Lindsay fall under. Messed up for life or someone who can bounce back and have a normal career and life. It's hard to say. I hope the latter just because her movies are good. I don't think she was in one bad movie until she got crazy. Now she's in some weird movies when people do want to hire her, but her sober movies are good. Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, Parent Trap. Sigh. I guess all we can hope for is a good memory of Lindsay.

Call in the Search Team

So many good topics, so little time. Lindsay Lohan is due to serve her prison sentence beginning today. 90 days will more than likely turn into 3 weeks, if that because there are too many criminals out there and not enough space to keep them all. What does that say about America? Or California really? She'll be fine and out of jail before we all know it, but I did hear she's already late for court and there are search teams out looking for her. I have a problem with this. Too much of our tax dollars are being spent on this crazy chick. She's late for court. So what. Again, if she was anyone else, would we care if they were late or just sentence them to more time? I'm thinking the latter. I'm so sick of celebrities getting special treatment. The majority of them claim they don't want it and acting is just another day job so leave them alone people. I know I'm a bit of a hypocrite, but when it comes to people like Lindsay Lohan, why do we even waste our time. I guess I'm wasting my time even writing this damn thing. Sigh.

This Girl Needs Rehab

I can’t believe it. I never ever thought something like this would happen in a million years. A celebrity has been sent to jail for drugs and alcohol. Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 3 months in jail for violating her probation. She missed her rehab classes and the judge wasn’t having it and finally sentenced her. She had to wear an alcohol monitor after the Cannes debacle and had to attend rehab and I guess she thought she was too good for rehab and never went. Of course, Lindsay broke down and cried at her sentencing and now has to keep her ankle monitor until July 20 when she will finally be taken into custody. I watched Larry King last night at the gym and he was talking to Lindsay's father who was crying and putting on a show about how his daughter needs rehab and she refuses to listen to him. Dr. Drew was there as well talking about how much help she needs and he would be willing to give it to her. It was all kind of gross to watch these people. Stop talking about it and do something for her.

I know my victory song for a celebrity going to jail makes me sound like a horrible person, but I feel I have 2 reasons for singing it. First, all celebrities seem to find a way around the system. If Lindsay Lohan was any random person, they would have been sentenced her immediately without any thought to what her day job was. Why should celebrities be treated any differently for committing bad deeds? Second I think Lindsay has a lot of potential to be something great and really needs some rehab. She was so good in the remake of The Parent Trap and even in Freaky Friday and Mean Girls and now look at her. I think she could have broken out of the teen movies and gone on to do what Rachel McAdams was able to do if it weren't for drugs and alcohol. I think she needs to get her shit together and get away from her parents and realize all the mistakes she’s making and get better. She has had such an awful upbringing and her parents keep using her for their own fame and I think the only way to make her better at this point would be to get her away and in a facility where she will get the help she needs. Asking her to get the help herself has obviously not worked so force seems to be the only way. I really hope she can turn it around.

Drugs Are Bad Mmmkay

So yesterday I get a call around 9am from my dad. He said he was driving in Beverly Hills past the court house and saw a million camera crews everywhere. Turns out it was all for Lindsay Lohan. If you're unaware, she failed to show up for her court date for drugs and booze because she was at the Cannes Film Festival and claimed someone stole her passport and therefore was unable to get to court. The judge of course called bullshit. So Lindsay finally made it to court yesterday and the judge sentenced her to wear some sort of monitor on her wrist. Of course, her lawyer said that wasn't possible because Lindsay was going to be filming a movie in Texas and has some photo shoots coming up and the monitor would cause her to miss of all that.

Here's the thing. Lindsay Lohan has done something bad and all she gets is a freaking monitor on her wrist and her lawyer fights against it? If this were any other Joe Schmo, I'm sure they would get the top offense. It pisses me off that celebrities can commit crimes and walk away with a slap on the wrist, all because they make a little bit more money than the rest of us. Lindsay Lohan needs to be locked in a facility with intense therapy away from Twitter and her parents and LA clubs. Will that ever happen? No, because she's a "celebrity." You can also look at the other side of the spectrum and say that some celebrities are put under the microscope too much.

For example, Michael Phelps took a hit from a bong and every big sponsor dropped him.

Tiger Woods had sex with a hand full of women and was dropped by his sponsors. If these were everyday people, no one would give a shit. Obviously, this is what you sign up for when you decide to pursue a career that could potentially give you quite a bit of recognition, but it's not fair either way. Either they don't get the punishment they deserve or they are way too criticized for something so ridiculous. It's a double edged sword here. So after that long rant, I think Lindsay needs to be in some sort of rehab facility. It's for her own good. Otherwise, all the prediction from people like Dr. Drew are going to come true. She is going to be dead by 30.

Deep Love

What would the world be like without people like Lindsay Lohan? Probably boring. I do have to admit that I completely forget about her sometimes until I open up Examiner.com and read my favorite Examiner's articles. All she talks about is Lohan and her insane family; mostly her dad. It just makes me very sad. Lohan had so much potential. She was pretty good in the remakes of Parent Trap and Freaky Friday. She has talent, but now it’s all covered up by drugs and alcohol. She looks awful. She has done awful things and she needs to delete her Twitter account before it gets worse. All I read is how she Tweeted something she shouldn’t have.

All of that aside, Lohan is said to be starring in a movie about Linda Lovelace. Most people know her as the star of Deep Throat and that’s all I knew of her until I saw the musical called Lovelace: A Rock Opera. I know, creative title.

Anyway, this musical was amazing! It was kind of like Hair and Rent combined only better. The story portrayed Lovelace and how she got roped into the porn industry. Such a sad story. After knowing all about Lovelace and the horrible life she had, I don’t think Lohan is the right fit. I think a stronger actress without crazy drug problems needs to play Lovelace. Originally they wanted Courtney Love for the role. Yeah, that’s better. NOT! Why can’t they think of someone who has a real career and talent? It just makes me so sad. This woman fought so hard to escape the porn industry and live a normal life with her daughter and then was killed in a car accident and they want someone like Lindsay Lohan or Courtney Love to relive that? Come on! I really hope they get their shit together and find an actress who will give Lovelace the portrayal she deserves.
