Another One Bites the Dust

So the most recent Bachelor and the girl he chose on the show are already broken up and the new Bachelorette season just started and I have absolutely non desire to watch it. I mean, why watch a show where you know they’re just going to break up in a day? I watched a few seasons and it held my attention pretty well. I had hope for every couple and then to see that they all break up anyway sucks. Why is the show even on anymore? The break ups have definitely tainted the show for me. Sure it’s cool to see them go to these exotic places, but in the end, it’s all fake. Makes me kind of sad. There are only 2 couples who actually got married. One couple said there were a lot of rough patches before they got married and the other couple didn’t even end up together on the show. The Bachelor picked someone else and then realized he made a mistake. I’d rather go on match.com to find someone. I guess reality TV really is all about the fame.

Waste of Time

Let's talk about The Bachelor for like 2 seconds because it doesn't deserve more time than that. I think this is the first season I haven't watched in a long time. Not because the guy left 2 girls at the final rose the last time he was on the show leaving America to find him untrustworthy (tabloid words, not mine), but because he talks slower than molasses and I wanted to gouge my eyes out! This guy was so boring, I'm surprised anyone watched the damn show. I watched the first 30 minutes or so of the first show and then deleted the rest of the season. I just couldn't take it. I guess he picked his girl, but they broke up before the show even aired. And that brings me to this blog. Why the hell is The Bachelor still on the air?!?! The network forks over so much money for what? These people break up anyway. Turns out, there have been 15 seasons with only one marriage that actually lasted and even they were having tough times and needed counseling. No one can fall in love on a set with cameras watching your every move. I mean come on. It's a waste of space in my Hulu queue and it's a waste of money. This network should say "no more Bachelor, we're sending all the money we spend on this show to Japan relief." Just saying.

Sad day or totally expected? I’m thinking totally expected. Jake from last season of The Bachelor and the girl he picked to be his wife, Vienna, have split. That lasted what, 6 months? There are so many people who are saying “told you so.” He was told by every girl in the house that Vienna was bad news and his family didn’t like her at all when they first met her and yet he still thought she was the one. Wanna know why? Because they had strong sexual attraction. I kept saying that sexual attraction only gets you so far. You need to have a friend when that sexual attraction wares off. Guess it’s true. Boys really do only think with their crotch. But to be fair, I read that she gave him no space in the relationship and refused to let him out of her sight. Plus there were rumors that she was cheating on him. Either way, he probably has girls falling all over him now.

Fail Blog Friday

NO WAY!!! The ugly chick wins the race. This is a few days late, but the bachelor picked the girl that no one liked, the girl that looks cross eyed, and most importantly the girl whom he only has a physical connection with. He flat out said the reason he has never found love before is because he always picks the girl he has physical chemistry with and not the girl he has emotional chemistry with. Well guess what, you failed again. You picked the girl you could have sex with all he time. A few years down the line when the physical chemistry fades you need to have your best friend to make it last. I don’t know that he realizes that. Whatever. Go home and hug the one you love and be thankful you found the right one. Happy Friday y'all.

Spil Alert

The Bachelor has one more episode left before Jake gets to pick his wife and I think he has the easiest decision, but he doesn’t see it.

In the latest episode, there were 3 women left, Gia, Vienna, and Tenley and to me it was obvious which one needed to go home, but he kept her and sent another one. The 2 girls left are Tenley and Vienna. Ugh why?!?! I think Vienna should have gone home a long time ago. None of the girls liked her and she just rubs me the wrong way. There’s something about her I don’t like. Also, in the latest episode, Jake had to ask himself if he was only sexually attracted to her or not. She is a major princess and I really think he is going to regret his decision if he picks her in the end. He is going to realize how high maintenance she is and once the sexual fire goes away, there will be nothing. With Tenley, there has been an attraction from day one. She received the very first rose he ever gave out and to me that says a lot. If this show goes off of love at first sight, than Jake needs to realize that she is his love. They are completely perfect together. Tenley is someone he can be best friends with when the fire goes out. They say the best person to marry is your best friend. Vienna is just another one of those girls who will eat him up and spit him out and that’s not what Jake is looking for. Why Jake why?!?!?!

Love At First Sight...Sort Of

I have yet to cover this subject matter because I was a little embarrassed to admit that I watch the show, but I can’t go on any longer. The Bachelor has become part of my Hulu queue. I’ve never watched The Bachelor or The Bachelorette before, but there was something about this season that caught my eye. Jake is the bachelor this time around and he is a guy from Texas who flies commercial planes for a living. I’m not going to lie, he’s pretty cute, but he’s too shy and timid for me. He likes the outdoors and riding his motorcycle, but being from Texas is a turn off for me right there. Anyway, Jake was on the last season of The Bachelorette and he was sent home and was completely heartbroken so they decided to make him the bachelor this season. Aw, so cute. Bleh.

How in the world are you supposed to fall in love with someone after only knowing them for a couple of weeks? Jake keeps saying that after the show he is going to ask the girl he picks to marry him. How? How is that even possible? This show definitely runs on love at first sight. The women that Jake can choose from are all different types of women. I’m not sure how accurate their job titles are when they show their name cards on the bottom of the screen each time one of the girls talks, but there are a few models, there was an accountant at one point, a restaurant manager at one point, etc. The majority of the girls are blonde with a few brunettes. Slim pickings really.

I have to say my favorite part of the season thus far was when one of the super model chicks was kicked off the show for sleeping with the producer of the show. How awesome is that? Jake was all emotional and needed some time away from the girls to think about what had happened. I knew she was trouble from the second she walked on the set. A lot of the girls are actually. Of course there is always a crazy girl who does weird stuff and cries all the time, like this one girl, Michelle. She was finally sent home and I'm not sure what took Jake so long to send her home. She would cry every time she got to see him and she was just insane.

The one cool part of this show is that it’s filmed in California so when they set up dates for Jake to take the girls on, I get to see a lot of cool places. He drove them up PCH and they all saw the coast, which I have seen and it’s gorgeous. He also took them to Big Sir and a vineyard somewhere. Makes me want to find these places and go. California is very gorgeous when you get out of the city. So make fun of me all you want, but I know if you sat down and watched, you would be intrigued as well.

She is very much his type and his focus tends to be on her. If he doesn't pick her, I will be very surprised.
