So the most recent Bachelor and the girl he chose on the show are already broken up and the new Bachelorette season just started and I have absolutely non desire to watch it. I mean, why watch a show where you know they’re just going to break up in a day? I watched a few seasons and it held my attention pretty well. I had hope for every couple and then to see that they all break up anyway sucks. Why is the show even on anymore? The break ups have definitely tainted the show for me. Sure it’s cool to see them go to these exotic places, but in the end, it’s all fake. Makes me kind of sad. There are only 2 couples who actually got married. One couple said there were a lot of rough patches before they got married and the other couple didn’t even end up together on the show. The Bachelor picked someone else and then realized he made a mistake. I’d rather go on match.com to find someone. I guess reality TV really is all about the fame.
The Bachelorette has ended and I’m not surprised by the ending like I was with the last Bachelor. I knew Jake and Vienna weren’t going to last, but I thought they would at least last a little bit longer than they did. Ali was the Bachelorette this time around and there was a lot of drama this season. One of the guys was on the show just to promote his wrestling career and Ali found out he had a girl friend back home so he left. Another guy realized that in his journey with Ali, he loved his ex girlfriend and left Ali just 2 episodes before the final episode. Crazy stuff for Ali, but she found her man and I’m not at all surprised she picked who she picked.

Ali had 2 guys left: Chris and Roberto. Chris seems like a super nice guy and someone a woman would want to settle down with and relax with and Roberto seems like a really nice guy who would be down for any adventure. From what I saw, Ali and Roberto were perfect together because she seems like someone who wants an adventure and not someone who just wants to grow old sitting on a front porch. So of course, Ali picks Roberto and he proposes to her and she accepts. Here’s what I love about it. Most people wait until the final ceremony to choose between their 2 final people, but Ali chose to send Chris home before so his heart wouldn’t be broken too much and he could cry in peace. To me, that’s super sweet. Jake let Tenley go while holding the ring for Vienna in his pocket, which I think was awful. She was torn up so I think it was nice of Ali to let Chris off the hook before that final ceremony. They would have gone on a day date if she hadn’t and that wasn’t fair to Chris. So props to Ali!
Roberto is a dark and handsome baseball player with a successful career and Ali would be dumb to let him go. No offense to Chris who seems super sweet and I’m sure would be good for Ali as well. Roberto and Ali just seemed like a match. Ali gave Roberto the first impression rose on the first night of the show so it must have been love at first sight. I truly hope they last. I don’t feel like Ali or Roberto came on the show for popularity like Jake and Vienna so here’s hoping!
I have let this go for a few weeks. Not intentionally, but because there have been so many other exciting things on the list and this kind of took a backseat, but no longer. The Bachelorette has hit the air. If you're unfamiliar, it's the female version of The Bachelor. The Bachelorette this time around is Ali, who was on The Bachelor last season. Towards the end of last season, she was given an ultimatum by her boss who said she either needed to leave the show and go back to work or stay on the show and lose her job. Well, she left the show and now regrets it so they gave her her own show. Since, she has quit her job in hopes of finding a husband and having no strings anywhere else in the world. I guess that's kind of romantic, but she's only 25 and there is still plenty of time to find love. Why would you quit your dream job just to find a lover? That seems a little extreme to me. There's someone out there for everyone. She would have found someone eventually. I guess fame means more to her than her dream job.
Anyway, Ali is not how I remember her from The Bachelor. She was sweet and sporty and super cute. Now, she's kind of annoying. Not going to lie. She's very aggressive, which I guess you have to be when you only have a few weeks to find a man to marry. She's just a totally different person. Like I said, it may be because she kind of has to be, but it's a little overwhelming for me when I watch her. I just want to sit her down and shove a chill pill down her throat.
I have seen scenes of what's to come this season and it seems pretty damn scary. Guys get really possessive and I guess that's what happens on the show. One guy begins to cut his wrist and kind of stalks her. Scary stuff. Another guy lies about having a girlfriend. I mean yeah, you need the drama for people to watch the show. It can't be soft and cuddly all the time, but how well does this show really work? Yeah, there have only been a few couples who realized the relationship couldn't work, but for the most part everyone stays together. I just wonder how anyone can find love with cameras in your face and drama ensuing around every corner. I don't know if I could do that.
