Manic Monday

My brain isn't completely functioning yet so bear with me on this one. I spent all weekend moving in the heat so there may be some heat exhaustion going on.

There's one thing that I notice that always seems to make the time go by faster and that's music. While you move, you listen to music. While you straighten you hair in the morning, you listen to music. It's one of those things that just creates enough noise and makes you happy all at the same time. I used to listen to Charlotte Church almost every day on the way to high school and sometimes in the car with my mom. I remember seeing her on PBS in concert and everyone said how amazing she was to have such a pretty voice at such a young age. She became pretty famous by the age of 13. Some people said she was singing incorrectly and may not have a voice much longer etc, but it was still nice to listen to her sing. Then, she got older and wasn’t as cute anymore and there were rumors that she was pregnant. It was just sad to watch her grow up and become kind of weird. I heard on KROQ the other morning that Charlotte has now found her way in life with the consumption of alcohol. I guess she recently split from her boyfriend of 5 years. They have 2 kids together and now she’s a freaking drunk. It makes me so sad! Why do most child stars grow up and do awful stuff? Why can’t they remain cute and grounded and just continue their work? Why do they need to do drugs and drink and have 500 babies and spend all the money they made and OD and die? I would like to see one child star who made it as a child actor to an adult actor without any slip ups along the way who still works steadily. That's the key. There are plenty of child stars who ended up fine, but you will see them on VH1 in a few years on the "Where Are They Now" show. I want to find one who still works now and never had a problem with drugs or alcohol. The only name that comes to mind is Jennifer Love Hewitt, but I'm biased.
