Dirty Pop

I’m back. Did you miss me? I hope so!

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since Michael Jackson died. From where I sit, it feels like he’s still alive. I work close to the Jackson scandal and the hype has never really ended. If we aren’t releasing his movie, we’re dealing with bad press about not paying the city of Los Angeles for his funeral or opening an exhibit with his clothing at the local museum or even hiring the doctor who may have killed him. Even after I go home, I can’t escape it. There was a special on TLC or A&E, I’m not sure which, the other night about what’s happening to his kids right now. See, never ending. I never watched it so I’m not sure what happened, but to add to that, I opened up BBC and there is an article about him and how much money he’s made since his death last year. Jackson has made about $1 billion since his death. Kind of sad because he needed that money while he was alive. That money is from his movie, the making of new albums, tour merchandise, etc. Kind of crazy when you think about it. Makes me wonder how much he would have made if he had done the tour in London at the O2. Makes the living jealous.
