Taxes are due today. Some of us experienced a blow and had to owe money, while the rest of us will be getting a check whenever Uncle Sam can fill his pockets enough to hand out the money. I personally owed $1 and I laughed. I literally had to write a check for $1. Anyway, there are a bunch of businesses who feel bad for those who had to fork over a lot of money and have decided to hand out free stuff. Who doesn't love free stuff, right? You can get a free taco from Taco Del Mar, whatever the hell that is. Starbucks is also giving out free cups of coffee, but only if you bring in your own reusable mug. I guess they want to stay green. Oh and the list doesn't stop here. You can get a free 3-day trial VIP membership to Chemistry.com starting at 12:01 a.m. today. How hilarious is that? That one makes me laugh. This is what the ad says, "No credit card is needed to get the free pass. Set up your profile, make a date, and prepare to jump into a new tax bracket with someone special." Aw so cute. If you've ever been to the tiniest ice cream place ever called Maggie Moo's, you can get a free slice of their new ice cream pizza from 3-7pm. The only location I know is in Porter Ranch, if it's even still there. Even Cinnabon has joined the game. They are giving out free cupcake bites from 6-8pm and Subway has free cookies. Mmmmm. I want. Whole Foods isn't charging tax today, which is probably huge because that place can be expensive, but only in Alaska, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. That's lame! Also, only McDonald's in Baltimore are giving away free coffee. Looks like those of us in California have the shit end of the stick here, but hey free stuff is free stuff right. Anyone hungry? Wanna grab some free cookies and coffee? Who can pass up a free cookie?
