More Reality TV

Here we go with another reality show. I remember when reality shows first started I was not pleased. Reality TV was going to change the world for actors and I was not happy about that. When asked the other day what my favorite shows are, I noticed that there are only 4 non-reality shows that I watch on a regular basis. How sad and pathetic is that? There are very few non-reality shows on TV right now. The shows I watch that don’t fall into the hate on actors category are Glee, Ghost Whisperer, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, and 30 Rock. The rest are reality shows and bad ones at that. The show that is on the top of my reality list right now is The Biggest Loser. It has taken the place of Hell’s Kitchen simply because Hell’s Kitchen ended a few weeks ago. Sad day.

I remember a couple years ago I was home on my day off eating Taco Bell and I stumbled across some old episodes of The Biggest Loser. I stayed on the channel and watched and ate and just started bawling. Here I am eating Taco Bell while these people are trying to change their lives because they had one too many tacos. I felt horrible. Now I make sure not to eat while I watch the show. It is one of those feel good shows, unlike some of the other reality shows I watch. The Hills makes us feel better about ourselves because the people on the show are so dumb, otherwise it is just brain mushing. The Biggest Loser shows the audience that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve it. I know cliché, but what can I say. I like seeing the transformations too.

Going from 400 pounds to 100 pounds and seeing how that changes people’s lives is cool to me. The trainers aren't too bad to look at either.
