Saturday was a nice and rainy day so my friends and I decided that we would see a movie. The only new movie that came out was Cop Out and none of us had any desire to see it. The rest of the movies were either scary or just not appealing in any way. I suggested a Leammle movie because they’re artsy and keep you thinking and I like that, but we decided to stay close to home and see When in Rome. Now, I heard that the movie got bad reviews, but there are a lot of movies out there that get bad reviews and are actually good. Um, yeah this one doesn’t fall into that category. This movie was bad, bad, bad. I understand romantic comedies and their silliness, but this took it a little too far. The main character is searching for love while in Rome for her sisters wedding and jumps into the fountain of love and proceeds to take out the coins people tossed in magically causing the people who threw those specific coins to fall in love with her. The rest of the movie is her adventure of trying to get the coins back to their owners to break the love spell. Of course in the end, she finds her true love blah blah. This may sound cute, but the execution of this was the cheesiest thing ever. Half way through the movie I turned to my friend and asked her if we were still watching the movie.

It makes me wonder why movies like this get made. There are so many scripts out there that are amazing and don’t get made. Money for movies like this gets spent? What a freaking waste! Don’t see this movie. Don’t even rent this movie. It would be a waste of a movie rental.
